What Marketplace Agent does
Marketplace Agent helps you check pending Facebook Marketplace inquiries from your browser or phone. After you connect Facebook and the app verifies the session, the server can continue checking while your phone is locked or the app is closed.
The current pilot is read-only. It does not send replies or create, edit, or delete listings. Access is limited to approved workspaces and Google accounts.
Get started
- Open Marketplace Agent.
- Choose Sign in with Google and use the account approved for your workspace. If you were given a workspace password, expand Use a workspace password instead.
- Open Connection, or choose Set up Facebook from the inbox.
- Complete Facebook's sign-in and any verification it requests in the connection view. Signing in to Google opens your workspace; connecting Facebook is a separate step.
- Close the connection view and return to Inbox. Check the connection status and the time of the latest verified inquiry check.
You can check download availability and phone setup options before getting started.
Read your inbox status
Pending inquiries shows a count only after a verified check. A dash or an unknown state means the app cannot currently verify the inbox; it does not mean there are no inquiries. Use the last-check time to judge whether the result is current.
Checks pause while the connection view is open so you can complete sign-in. Close that view when finished. If Facebook asks for another verification, return to Connection and complete it yourself.
Ask your agents offers read-only guidance about the inbox, connection, and configured workspace. It does not enable automatic replies or listing changes.
Account and sign-out
Use Account to select an available workspace or sign out. Pilot workspace sessions last 15 minutes and stay in memory. Relaunching the app requires sign-in again.
Signing out of Marketplace Agent closes your access to the workspace. It does not sign Facebook out of the server or stop an already verified server connection.
Troubleshooting
Google says you do not have access
Use the Google account approved for this pilot. A catalogue account or SDK license does not automatically grant access to a Marketplace Agent workspace. Contact BrightOps if you need workspace access.
The inbox count is unknown or out of date
Check Connection for a sign-in or verification request, complete it, then close the connection view. Return to Inbox and wait for a new verified check. If the status stays unknown, contact support; do not assume the count is zero.
Sign-in was cancelled or expired
Start sign-in again from Marketplace Agent. In an existing native pilot build, confirm a return-to-app request only when its code matches the one on your phone. Cancel a request you did not start.
